Raj and the Queen is a french electronical Rock band from Reunion Island (France). Its name derives from a tribute to the gypsy communities of Rajasthan (“Raj”) leading a nomadic life on queen Earth. The poetic and musical inspirations come from experiences, travels, feelings, associated with legends and utopias.
Sung and graphically illustrated, the group’s creations take listeners into an imaginary universe dotted with encounters and the unexpected. Raj and the Queen’s 1st EP “Colors of Indignation”, released in 2021, offers a series of 5 tracks addressing several themes at the sources of dissent according to the author.
